As an online fitness coach, I collect personal information such as height, weight, sex, and other relevant health or lifestyle details in order to create safe, effective, and personalised fitness and nutrition plans for each individual. This information allows me to tailor coaching programs to the unique needs, goals, and physical characteristics of each client, helping them achieve better results and avoid injury or ineffective training. The benefit to the individual is a more accurate, supportive, and results-driven coaching experience that takes their personal situation into account. I believe the value of this personalised support outweighs any potential impact on privacy, especially as all personal data is handled with care, stored securely via a third party PT Distinction & Funnel Sketchers ( privacy policies available on request ), and never shared without consent. I make sure that only the information necessary for coaching is collected, and I always consider the individual’s rights and expectations. Clients are informed about what data is collected, why it’s needed, and how it will be used, giving them the opportunity to ask questions or opt out where appropriate.
For more information on our use of legitimate interests as a lawful basis you can contact us using the contact details set out above.
